Alexis Cohen, the former American Idol contestant dubbed ‘Glitter Girl’ by the media, was found dead at 4 a.m. this morning in Seaside Heights, NJ.The 25-year-old from Allentown, Pennsylvania was hit by a car early Saturday morning in New Jersey in an apparent hit and run. Cohen’s body was found on the street and her death is under investigation
A passerby noticed Cohen and called 911, where she was taken to Community Medical Center and pronounced dead at 6:30 A.M. An autopsy was performed and it was concluded that she died from injuries to her chest, abdomen and head, injuries sustained from a collision with a vehicle.
Cohen auditioned for seasons seven and eight of American Idol, but she was rejected due to her lack of sincerity during the contest.. She explained her eccentric look, likening herself to a pirate, saying “I like things that shine,” and continuing with “I’m a lady.”
Alexis Cohen is from Allentown, Pennsylvania. Her date of birth is unknown.Alexis was a college student studying to become a veterinarian.
