Chelsea Clinton is engaged to her longtime boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky, a spokesman for former President Clinton told.
She has announced her engagement via e-mail. Clinton spokesman Matt McKenna said the couple became engaged before Thanksgiving
Clinton, 29, is the only child of the former president and current Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. She and Mezvinsky -- the son of former Rep. Ed Mezvinsky, D-Iowa, and former Rep. Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinksy, D-Penn.
The two sent out an email the morning of Friday November 27 saying:
"We're sorry for the mass e-mail but we wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy Thanksgiving! We also wanted to share that we are engaged! We didn't get married this past summer despite the stories to the contrary, but we are looking toward next summer and hope you all will be there to celebrate with us. Happy Holidays! Chelsea & Marc."
Mezvinsky, whom she first met in D.C. and then got to know better at Stanford University before they began dating, also has political parents. Chelsea and Marc been dating since 2005 -- he's an investment banker now, and she's in grad school at Columbia University.

Former teen idol Donny Osmond was upset winner on "Dancing with the Stars" Tuesday, bypassing the singer Mya, who had consistantly higher judges scores through the season.
The consummate entertainer take the win on season nine of "Dancing With the Stars" on a finals show in which he also got behind the mike to belt out "Puppy Love."
Osmond's success with partner Kym Johnson came late in the season. He only earned his first perfect 30 scores Monday night and in a special last minute dance in the Tuesday finale. His career-long popularity may have earned him an edge in viewer voting over Mya, who came in second, and Kelly Osbourne, who finished third.
Before the winner deliberation, each of the three finalists had to reprise their favorite dance of the season. Donny reprised his Argentine Tango and the judges thought that it was a 100 percent performance, totally believable and artistic.
At 51, Osmond is the oldest winner of the show in its nine seasons. In the end, he shared his victory with his sister Marie, who came in third in season five.
Osmond had no immediate comment to make, though earlier in the show he said, "I've done a lot of things in my career. This is going to rank right at the top of everything I've done. I have really, thoroughly, enjoyed this experience."
He was one of many contestants to have suffered through the flu while competing.

She appeared onstage with her "Nine" co-star Nicole Kidman to introduce The Black Eyed Peas performance.

Levi Johnston has got some popularity as “Shocker” and he has shocked and rocked the media and especially Sara Palin with his Playgirl Photos.
To watch Levi Johnston’s nude pics we would have to wait till January but as was expected previously, he has not done frontal n*d*ity. Levi Johnston’s agent is excited over the outcome and told that the shoot was superb.Even though Levi Johnston didn't bare all for Playgirl magazine, the Alaskan hunk did not disappoint.
The magazine has posted a teaser image on its Web site, showing the glistening 19-year-old seductively posing along a tiled wall.
The black and white photograph will be one of many images to come, including a tribute to "hockey moms" that features Johnston posing with a hockey stick.
"People are going to see more of Levi than they thought," his manager Tank Jones told Usmagazine.com. "He's ready to shock the world. The hell with 15 minutes."
Johnston had said that he hopes the shoot, for which he reportedly is getting paid more than $100,000 to do, will be classy.

Charla Nash, the Connecticut woman mauled by a 200 pound chimpanzee in February, appeared on "Oprah" Wednesday to reveal her face and share heartbreaking details on her life since the attack.
Charla Nash, who turns 56 today, lost both hands, her vision, nose, lips and eyelids in the February attack. She has been receiving treatment at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.
During the interview, Nash willingly removed her veiled hat that normally covers her face to avoid scaring people, revealing her badly disfigured face to the public for the first time, according to the Hartford Courant.
Nash was a friend of the chimpanzee's owner, Sandra Herold. The attack occurred Feb. 16, after Herold asked Nash to help her bring the animal into her house. Herold has said she did not know why the chimpanzee attacked Nash but speculated that he did not recognize her because she had a different hairstyle and was driving a different car.
The family of Nash has filed a lawsuit against the chimp's owner.Her injuries were described in the lawsuit as "catastrophic"; she lost both hands and incurred "traumatic facial injury [including loss of her nose, upper and lower lips, eyelids and the bony structures in her mid-face]."
Police shot and killed the chimp after he attacked Nash.

A goalkeeper expected to play for Germany at the World Cup died after being hit by a train. He was 32.
The footballer, who was also the goalkeeper for team Hannover 96, is thought to have committed suicide.Team president Martin Kind confirmed his death, and police later released a statement saying a man had been fatally struck by a train Tuesday night.
A statement released following the incident yesterday evening read: 'The victim is apparently national team goalkeeper Robert Enke from Hannover 96. The first police indications are that it was a suicide.'
Police spokesperson Stefan Wittke added: 'At 6.25pm (5.25pm GMT) he was run over by a regional express train running between Hamburg and Bremen. The train was travelling at the speed of 160kph (100mph).'
Enke was reportedly 'unstable' prior to his death, according to Hanover president Martin Kind, and had found it difficult to cope following the death of his two-year-old daughter Lara of a heart ailment in 2006.
He had not been selected for Germany's exhibition games against Chile on Saturday and Ivory Coast on Wednesday. But coach Joachim Loew had said Enke remained the leading candidate to be Germany's goalie at next year's World Cup in South Africa.

Comedian Katt Williams was arrested fro burglary and criminal trespass charges on Sunday. Katt Williams' mug shot has been released, showing him with a big smile. His first court appearance will be 4 pm ET on Monday.
He was arrested last night in Atlanta, Georgia. Police say the comedian allegedly broke into a house in an attempt to steal jewelry and other items.
Major James Yarbrough,Coweta County Sheriff’s Office, says, homeowner in the Southwest Atlanta suburb called authorities around 9 p.m.on Sunday to report the comedian gained entry by breaking into the residence.No further detail was released except that jewelry was taken.
Williams was admitted to a psych ward last November. Prior to that, he was arrested on gun charges in New York.

Some shocking pictures of former slugger Sammy Sosa surfaced after the former Chicago Cubs star was seen at the Latin Grammy Awards.
Sosa’s friend says Sammy is “going through a rejuvenation process for his skin”. She says that women do it all the time. She calls pictures of the change “deceiving” and claims Sosa said “When you see me in person, it is not going to seem like the picture.”
While no cause has been concretely established at this time, some fans have speculated that Sosa's rampant steroid use in the '90s and 2000s is behind this.
Many have posited, although they cannot prove it, that steroid use could dramatically increase an individual's likelihood of becoming symptomatic with vitiligo.
Sosa played 18 seasons in the majors, hitting .273 with 609 career home run and 1,667 RBIs. He led the league in home runs in 2000 and 2002, and in RBIs in 1998 and 2001.

Nicolas Cage is liquidating several real-estate assets after word broke last month concerning the actor's serious financial troubles.
Cage is rumored to have no more National Treasure ... or something. Moreover, the guy actually owes $6.3 million in back taxes, which he blames on his manager.
Nicolas Cage has put up his New Orleans mansion for sale at $3.5 million. Also, he is selling his Hollywood mansion, which he bought for $35 million, for half of that. The assets will be auctioned off on Nov. 12, while other properties in California and Las Vegas have also been put up for sale.
In a lawsuit against on October 16, he alleges that business manager Samuel J. Levin “lined his [own] pockets with several million dollars in management fees." The Oscar-winning star filed a $20 million lawsuit against him.
Cage, who has yet to comment on his current woes, suffered another blow last week when his father, August Coppola, died from a heart attack.
